Never _____ When You Are Pregnant

When pregnant there are many things you should never do. There is no way to guarantee that your infant will not need neonatal, or special care, but there are ways to prevent it. When you are pregnant you are in a very delicate state and most everything you do will affect your infant so be sure that you are extremely wise about the decisions you make and the actions you take during your pregnancy.

You should limit or avoid some types of food including:

  • Certain fish
  • Unpasteurized cheese or dairy products
  • Raw meats
  • Junk food
  • Fast food

Be careful about the toxins you may expose yourself to:

  • Secondhand smoke
  • Paint fumes
  • Garden and lawn products
  • Certain household cleaners

Never EVER:

  • Smoke
  • Drink alcohol
  • Use illegal drugs
  • Use prescription or over the counter drugs without consulting your doctor

Be careful around your pets, or their products:

  • Reptiles can spread salmonella
  • Cat litter can cause toxoplasmosis

Body Temperature:

  • Avoid hot tubs or hot baths
  • Keep cool during work outs and in hot weather
